I have spent two weeks watching the Olympics including all of the golf! I really see it as a great success and opening a door for a lot of young people around the world who might now be fascinated by the game. Why does it matter?
Here are just a few reasons: First and foremost is the discovery of new and extraordinary talent. Just look at what South Korean players have shown us in just two decades. Secondly, an influx of new players worldwide to the game supports an industry that is meaningful to many thousands of people who work and support golf. Also, we all see the benefit of sports in bringing people and cultures together--common interests, common goals, and common experiences, working, winning, and losing.
I see the sport of Golf in the Olympic Games as a big winner and I wasn't sure initially. You can always learn. Judy Rankin
